Film premiere of the poetry film “Repeat”

As part of the seventh Vienna Poetry Film Festival, the film premiere of a new film based on my poem “licht ins grün” (“light from the greenery”) also took place on November 16, 2023. The film was a festival production with Mersolis Schöne and Michael Fischer, who both work artistically at the interface with language.

The experimental film or poetry film, entitled “Repeat”, examines the phenomenon of déja-vu. At 5:55 minutes, the film has the classic length for a poetry film. It was shot with Indian performance artist Savita Rani. Cinematography Mersolis Schöne, composition Michael Fischer.

The 7th edition of the Art Visuals & Poetry Film Festival 2023

Tradition at the Künstlerhaus: The seventh edition of the Art Visuals & Poetry Film Festival 2023 took place from November 14 to 17, 2023. A tour de force in terms of organization, but very successful with 43 international artists on site and a great festival program with readings, performances and film screenings. For the first time, a new competition was announced as the Poetry Performance Film Award, which was aimed at the performance and spoken word scene. The 2023 festival poet was the poet, art collector and gallery owner Manfred Chobot. The next festival is being planned! Stay tuned!
